30m 80TBP ASD tugboat is being built by Med Marine, leading Turkish shipbuilder and operator, at its group-owned Ereğli Shipyard. The vessel was successfully launched in Ereğli Shipyard on January 30^th, 2019.

The vessel is a RAstar 3000-W class tugboat designed by Robert Allan Ltd. The tug will be operated by Tug Malta Ltd., a company belonging to leading Italian Rimorchiatori Riuniti Group. She is set to be delivered to Tug Malta Ltd. in April 2019.

High-quality tugboat features 80 tonnes bollard pull with enhanced escort towing and seakeeping performance.  She has the length of 29,70m, the beam of 13,30m and the depth of 5,45m and has following tank capacities:

FUEL OIL                                 203,40 m³

FRESH WATER                        18,40 m³

LNG compatible vessel has twin MTU 16V4000M65L engines which develop a total output of 2 x 2.560 kW (app. 6866 bhp) with a free sailing speed of 13.0 knots and bollard pull of 80 tonnes. State-of-the-art tugboat utilise 2 x ROLLS ROYCE US 255 P30 FP thrusters with 2800 diameter and carbon fiber shaft.

She has Rolls Royce heavy duty escort towing winch, Rolls Royce ETWH 2500/1200/AW20,5 mooring capstan, Data Hidrolik DHC 5000 E40PI/P/11 5 ton electric driven capstan and DTH 90-135P towing hook.

The vessel provides accommodation for 8 people; it is climate-controlled and includes a captain’s cabin, an officer cabin and two double crew cabins.
